New Fantastic Beds

Stayed here loads of times & always love it but this time - new amazing expensive beds! This pub with rooms has been continuously upgrading since we started going, & each time it gets better.
Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, very dog friendly, loved the breakfast, & love the rooms. Each room has a new bed & they are really really good. We slept very well, & just wanted to say thank you. Looking forward to coming back with our little white with a little black Frenchie!

Travellers' rest

Hold the front page, stop press, avast there me hearties!! We popped in here after taking a walk locally (Launde Abbey---also great!!), and Kathy fancied fish and chips. Now I have to admit that it is rarely my number one choice, but nevertheless, I joined her. WOW!!!!! As a non-aficionado of this particular delicacy, I have to say that we now have located the best example of it in the world! Batter so fine yet crisp it was utterly sublime! Succulent fish. Lovely crushed peas. Obviously home made tartare sauce-excellent!! (lovely chunky capers) Chips:- crisp as you like on the outside, fluffy inside, and so very tasty. If fish and chis were always this good, I could become a convert!! 10/10! (and more!)

Enjoyable stay and visit

We had a lovely comfortable stay at the old plough. The room was well presented and spacious and ready made up as a family room. We opted to have dinner here which was very nice especially the starter! Yum. It was open mid night and it felt like a real village pub with lots of locals, lovely to see! Breakfast was a varied choice, would definitely return!

Good Food

Stopped here on spec for a Sunday afternoon meal. We opted for the carvery. Even though it was well after the lunch time rush the beef was beautifully cooked, moist and rare. Fresh cooked vegetables. Friendly staff. What more could you want?

Family Celebration

Went here on 7th April, a 70th birthday celebration. We had one double room and two familyrooms.
one down stairs and two up stairs. We had a super time and the staff were very understanding as we had four small children with us. Particularly as the children asked for what the liked on the cooked breakfast menu. The children were just as impressed as we were. The hotel laid out a long table for breakfast and dinner giving all chance to eat together nice touch. All the rooms were clean and presentable with ensuite we will certainly come again and recommend to friends. Thank you for making this celebration special.

"My friends and I were on a narrow boat trip on the Warwick ring, and we visited the old plough on Wednesday as wanted to find somewhere to watch the footie, and they had it on in here and we were all made to feel welcome by the staff and the locals and had some lovely pub grub and some great ales, and staggered out of there a few hours later."

The room was clean and comfortable, with a large king size bed and a sofa bed, good bed linen and large fluffy towels. Carrie and all of the staff, without exception, were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome."
